There are steps organizations can take to stay strong, like reviewing cash flow, communicating openly with staff and clients, and working together to advocate for support. Tracking how the shutdown affects your programs can also help guide future planning and strengthen the case for more stable funding.
Moments like this remind us just how essential nonprofits are to our communities. They’re often the ones filling gaps, offering support, and keeping hope alive when things feel uncertain.
