Centeotl Danza y Baile is a folkloric dance group that learns and performs traditional Mexican dances. In Aztec mythology Centeotl is the maize goddess. Centeotl was considered one of the most important deities of the Aztec era.

Our dancers range from age 5 to young adults. Dance classes are held evenings and weekends at the Branciforte Small Schools Campus in Santa Cruz. Classes are free, but we ask for a strong commitment to regularly practice and perform. Traditional dance outfits are provided, but dancers must supply their own shoes.

We welcome a diverse group of students and young adults to join us in celebrating the culturally rich heritage of dance from Mexico.

Location:  Branciforte Small Schools multi-purpose room (840 N. Branciforte Ave Santa Cruz, CA )
