Monarch Services (Formerly Women’s Crisis Support-Defensa de Mujeres) is looking to contract with a licensed therapist to provide individual therapeutic services for child and youth clients who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and/or human trafficking. Monarch is looking for a person with two or more years licensed therapeutic experience and familiarity with the dynamics of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Monarch staff will directly refer child and youth individuals to receive in person therapeutic services at your office location. There is also an option to provide therapy sessions at one of the Monarch office locations.
The therapist must have maturity, high professional standards and ethics, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong organizational skills. This person should also be comfortable working with individuals of all genders. This position is currently open and will remain posted until filled. Occasional travel to our office locations in Santa Cruz and Watsonville may be necessary.
Scope of Work
- Work closely with Monarch Services Program Managers and staff on client cases
- Provide individual therapeutic services to Monarch Services clients
- Collaborate with agency community partners in supporting client’s needs
- Attend bi-monthly case management meetings as needed

Monarch Services (formerly Women’s Crisis Support~Defensa de Mujeres) was established in Santa Cruz County in 1977. Through crisis counseling, legal assistance, and advocacy, Monarch helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking take back their lives and thrive. Monarch Services has the only rape crisis center and emergency domestic violence shelter in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley. Offices are in Watsonville and Santa Cruz.
