This is a Members, only, by invitation event for nonprofit leaders. Look for your invitation to meet with State Senator Laird. He has a long history of public service in Santa Cruz as a three-term member of the State Assembly, a Cabrillo College Board Trustee, and a Santa Cruz City Council Member and mayor. Laird has also served as executive director of the nonprofit Santa Cruz AIDS Project.
John will begin his remarks with a review of the Governor’s proposed Budget for 2025-26 and its potential impact on our local nonprofits. The leaders of our nonprofit members will have the opportunity to share information about their nonprofit and highlight one way they would like to work with the Senator to further their nonprofit’s mission and support their staff.
It will be a casual in-person gathering of fifty nonprofit member CEOs/EDs with a light lunch – and opportunities for questions and answers.
We can all learn from the nonprofits that participate and look for potential opportunities to collaborate for 2025-26. It is a respectful space for listening to – and sharing with – colleagues and making a deeper connection!
