The Carey-Davis Community Garden was founded by the Watsonville Police Activities League (WPAL) to serve the youth and families living in the Carey and Davis Avenue areas. Program Manager, Teresa Martinez-Rodriguez oversees the garden to ensure the garden continues to grow and thrive for that community. The goal is to increase access to fresh food and vegetables and foster community relationships. To learn more about the garden, please visit our website HERE.
We are seeking volunteers to help with major clean-up around the pathways of the garden picking weeds and digging up the dirt on the pathways so it is prepped for gravel distribution.
Please reach out to Bibianna Rocha if interested in volunteering at brocha@pvhealthtrust.org.
