VLC is proud to continue our new Lunch & Learn event series! These bimonthly (every other month) open-link webinar programs are offered to our entire VLC community for FREE, and each event will be a space for reflection, skills sharing, and connection.

Our eighth Lunch & Learn event takes place on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 12:00 PM PT/3:00pm ET. RSVP below to receive the Zoom event invite!

We are honored to host our friends from Alliance for Justice’s Bolder Advocacy program, Quyen Tu, Legal Director, and Shannon Williams, Director of Operations and Evaluation, to share their knowledge and resources with the VLC Community on what 501(c)(3)s need to know during an election year! This session will cover:

1.    How 501(c)(3)s can engage in issue advocacy during election season

2.    How 501(c)(3)s can conduct robust voter and candidate education campaigns and mobilize the public to get out the vote

3.    How staff and volunteers at 501(c)(3) organizations can keep their partisan political activities in their personal time separate from their activities on behalf of the organization

Bolder Advocacy, a program of Alliance for Justice, empowers nonprofits and foundations to boldly advocate on behalf of their missions by building grassroots advocacy power to promote active engagement in democratic processes, safeguarding the rights of nonprofits to advocate for the causes that matter most, and providing training, tools, and resources to maximize your nonprofit’s advocacy.

Register to RSVP and let us know you’ll be there. We hope to see you on May 10 for this exciting session!
