Stories of Culture: Oaxaca in Santa Cruz FILM SCREENING

Join us for the free Santa Cruz premiere of the short films Stories of Culture: Oaxaca in Santa Cruz directed by Megan Martinez Goltz on Saturday, April 8 from 6-8PM.  Three ten-minute films explore indigenous food, music, and traditional healing practices. The evening begins at 6pm with Oaxacan food for sale. Senderos dancers will perform at 6:45 and the films will be shown at 7PM followed by a talkback with the director and culture bearers who appear in the films. These films have been well received at film festivals in Watsonville, San Francisco, San Rafael, and Sonoma. The films were funded by Santa Cruz City CARD grant and Senderos is grateful for this support. We hope to see you at the movies at The 418 Project, 155 S. River Street, Santa Cruz.
