If a family member has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia, a caregiver support group can offer you an opportunity to find out more about available community resources, learn from others going through similar experiences, and build a support system. Our facilitated support group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, free of charge. Support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate and inform participants about dementia and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.
THIS SUPPORT GROUP MEETING WILL BE OFFERED BY ZOOM AND PHONE. Register: https://www.communityresourcefinder.org/ResourceView/Index?id=2738198&profileDefinitionId=91
Family Caregiver Support Groups are not for the person with the diagnosis.
Once you complete registration for the meeting, you will receive an email confirmation with the call-in information and instructions for joining our call.
If you have additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to call the Alzheimer’s Association at 1.800.272.3900.
