On September 17th, the VWC hosts the Native Plant & Rummage Sale Fundraiser, benefiting our SLV College Scholarship Fund and The Teacher’s Science and Art funds. These funds empower teachers to enhance classroom projects with needed supplies. This is a fantastic opportunity to support local scholarships, habitat restoration, and biodiversity while finding hidden treasures and embracing eco-friendly gardening.
Here’s how you can contribute:
Volunteer!
The fundraising event occurs at Highlands Park Senior and Community Center on Sept. 17. Choose a 4-hour shift to help take process transactions and merchandising. The morning shift will help set up, and the afternoon shift will help load the remaining items for removal. Shifts are 8:00 AM-Noon or Noon-4:00 PM. Sign up here or contact Linda Skeff at 650-207-5258 or Alisan Andrews at 650-400-8623.
Donate Items!
We’ve received generous community donations for our rummage sale, but we could use more! Bring your contributions to Highlands Park Senior & Community Center on Fridays and Saturdays through September 16, between 10:00 AM and Noon.
Download the Native Plant Guide!
In support of our local native habitat, this year, we are offering native plants from Central Coast Wilds Nursery. To help you plan or add to your own native habitat garden, download and print our handy Native Plant Guide for San Lorenzo Valley. Come to the sale early to get plants listed in the guide!
