MEET OUR FACILITATORS:
Sue Parris has more than thirty years’ experience as a consultant and facilitator, helping organizations increase awareness of racial and social equity issues, and institute equity and inclusion practices. She recently retired as Director of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) Monterey County Chapter and is currently President of the NCBI International Board of Directors and leads its White Affinity Group. Sue is also a co-founder of Whites for Racial Equity, a local group of white people committed to dismantling racism. She continues to consult with community organizations, public agencies, schools and universities.
Dr. Tasneem Mohamed has more than fifteen years of experience as a social justice and women’s rights advocate and community activist, as well as working in mental health with dually diagnosed youth and adults in rural and urban communities and providing counseling for domestic violence victims and students in higher education. Dr. Mohammed has served CSUMB in several capacities including working on the University College DEI planning committee, serving as an Equity Advocate, and serving on the President’s Committee for Equity and Inclusion. Dr. Mohamed joined NCBI in 2022 and is both a facilitator and board member for the Monterey County Chapter.
