Conflict Management Skills Training

This training is for anyone interested in gaining insight and practice in understanding and reducing conflict. Participants will gain a greater understanding of how conflict works, why it happens, and practical skills and steps we can use to address conflict using an informative, interactive, and fun process. The aim is to improve our capacity to listen without defensiveness, speak without offending, find common ground, and reach mutually satisfying solutions.

This course will help you:

  • Understand how and why we react to conflict.
  • Investigate your own conflict style.
  • Learn how to manage your own emotional reactions.
  • Listen without defensiveness.
  • Express yourself clearly and confidently.
  • Find common ground and satisfying solutions.
  • This training is a pre-requisite as part of the 40-Hour Community Mediation Training
