Our Benefit Celebration Dinner invites our beloved community to learn more about our programs, hear directly from FoodWhat youth, and support our work. This well-loved community event brings together hundreds of members of the FoodWhat Family: youth, parents, teachers, nonprofit leaders, local businesses, elected officials, farmers, supporters and more. The FoodWhat Youth Crew partners with top local chefs to prepare portions of the meal for the evening. The highlight of the night comes when the youth take to the mic to stand in their power and share their personal stories of growth and transformation from their year at FoodWhat.
For the last few years, FoodWhat has grown in significant ways, including increasing the number of youth we serve, hiring new staff, and increasing youth wages, among other investments in this work. In order to acheive this growth, we have strengthened our fundraising efforts. To this end, we have shifted this event from a free admission to a ticketed event. Tickets to the event will be sold at $100 each. There will continue to be an opportunity to make an additional donation at the event for those who feel called to.
Attire: Event attire is casual. We recommend wearing outdoor shoes and bringing layers for cooler temperatures.
