The Center for Nonprofit Excellence invites you to develop skills to critically analyze your nonprofit’s own messaging through a lens of uplift and conscientiousness when sharing clients’ stories. Join this workshop to grow as an effective ambassador for your organization’s mission impact.
Participants in this interactive workshop will:
- Practice storytelling techniques in real-time to take back to your organization,
- Critically analyze the way you tell the stories and,
- Reflect on the Monterey County-specific cultural relationships and power dynamics that relate to nonprofit storytelling for your clients, audience, and community.
Intended audience: Nonprofit leaders, communications and development staff, board members, and ambassadors for nonprofit mission and impact.
Featuring ileana Ortega Brunetti: ileana has extensive experience working in the nonprofit sector and previously facilitated CNE’s Board Roundtable and Tune in to Your Leadership Voice series. She is a past LEAD participant and Central Coast native. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She attended graduate school at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and has dual degrees, an MA in International Environmental Policy and an MBA in International Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Sustainable Development.
