Mexican Folklorico Dance Company in “Homenaje a Veracruz”
Esperanza del Valle’s 2022 performances of “Homenaje a Veracruz” at the beautiful Crocker Theater highlight dance traditions from the regions of the Huasteca, Totonaca and Sotavento, Veracruz; each with its own unique style, flavor and interpretation. After more than four decades of learning from Mexico’s master teachers and choreographers, we are proud to present a tapestry of danzas, sones, huapangos and bailes de salón from the state of Veracruz and our original choreodrama, Macaria, that fuses dance and drama through traditional and cultural themes to celebrate Ðia de los Muertos.
