This five week Community Mediation Training will teach you how to mediate interpersonal disputes. This includes communication processes, skills, structures, mediator roles (what is, and is not, part of the role), and co-mediating to facilitate mutual understanding, empowerment, and cooperative problem solving between neighbors, family members, coworkers, and others.
Prerequisite: Our 7 hr Conflict Management Skills Training (held over 1-2 days). Next CMS training: January 8, 10 am to 5 pm.

This training (including the prerequisite 7 hr training) meets the requirements of the California Dispute Resolution Act. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of completion. Graduates may apply to become CRC volunteer mediators.
